Yellowham Farmhouse

Yellowham Farmhouse is situated in the very heart of Hardy Country nestling on the edge of the idyllic Yellowham Wood at the end of a long tarmac drive in 120 acres of farmland and 130 acres of woodland where peace and tranquillity are guaranteed.

The farm contains an abundance of flora and fauna which has been encouraged over the years by careful hazel coppicing. The farmhouse is 2 miles east of Dorchester and just 1/2 mile from the famous dwelling, Hardy's Cottage at Higher Bockhampton.

Yellowham Wood makes various appearances in Hardy novels under the name of Yalbury Wood.
All the bedrooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, and on the ground floor.

Each bedroom has central heating, a double bed or twin beds, en-suite bathroom and shower facility, remote controlled colour television, radio, hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities. Each bedroom has been designed with ease of comfort in mind. There is ample parking within the grounds. Yellowham Farmhouse is a perfect location for exploring the Jurassic Coast, as well as the local towns and villages. It is close to the various attractions including Monkeyworld (as seen on television), Maiden Castle, Athelhampton house and gardens, Kingston Maurward gardens, Abbotsbury Swannery, Bovington Tank Museum, Lulworth Castle and Sherborne Castle.

There are numerous country pubs and restaurants serving excellent food which we can recommend close by.
