The Old School House is situated in peaceful countryside with pleasant views of the surrounding farms. From the house can be seen an ever changing scene from sowing time to harvest. During the spring and summer sheep and their lambs graze in the fields nearby. The walled garden gives the house a secluded and pleasant outlook with mature trees, flowers and shrubs also a large vegetable garden. On arrival guests are warmly welcomed with tea and home-made scones in front of a log fire or in the conservatory if they prefer. There are several good places for an evening meal, and often guests return to the one they choose for each night of their stay. The Old School House is only four miles from the centre of the historic town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, famous for its town walls and bridges.
