Quietly situated just 100 yards from the peaceful and unspoilt beach of Blue Anchor Bay and within a stones throw of the West Somerset Steam Railway, Merlin House enjoys spectacular far reaching views of the coast and the surrounding hills of the Exmoor National Park. It is ideally situated for Steam Railway enthusiasts (with fantastic photo opportunities from your apartment and garden), and is an excellent area for walkers, with the West Somerset Coast Path along the cliff tops to the west of Minehead, passing Selworthy Beacon, from which Dunkery Beacon (the highest point in Somerset) can be seen.

Wonderful Exmoor and Quantock Hills provide a wealth of interesting countryside to explore. The local shop, café and pubs are within easy walking distance. Minehead, with its more traditional seaside attractions is only a short train-ride away or 10 minutes in the car. Visit 2 impressive National Trust properties, the Norman castle in the medieval village of Dunster and the picturesque village of Selworthy. The garden has loungers and a hot tub for guests' use during the summer months. There is a laundry room with washing machine and drier and a selection of ordnance survey bookes, cycle and walking maps are available to borrow.
