Highcliffe is perfectly located, close to the picturesque Cornish harbour town of Falmouth and just 100 metres from the seafront and the broad sweep of Falmouth bay, the most spectacular in Cornwall.
Our rooms are comfortable and attractively furnished, with some having spectacular harbour views. All B&B rooms are ensuite with powerful, hot showers and mains drinking water. The ground floor room also offers a bath. All rooms are equipped with hot drink making facilties flatscreen digital TVs most with DVD player, free wi fi, hairdryer, 100% cotton bathsheets, quality white linen and duck and down duvets with manmade available upon request.
Highcliffe offers a very large and airy lounge with plenty of comfortable seating, TV and reading material. The lounge is not shared with the owners and so Highcliffe encourage guests to make themselves at home.
Highcliffe's varied breakfast offers locally sourced ingrediants and daily specials. Please mention special diets when booking.
There is ample off street parking available: parking for up to 6 cars to come and go at leisure, and plenty of free parking on the quiet road opposite Highcliffe.
A gentle stroll takes you to the National Maritime Museum at the harbour side, then through the cobbled main street to the town centre and the Prince of Wales pier where ferries leave for harbour crossings to St Mawes and regular boat trips ply along the coast and up the River Fal to the various gardens such as Trebah and Glendurgan.
A pleasant scenic walk takes you around the headland crowned by Pendennis Castle and gives wonderful views across the bay. Also close by is Falmouth's Princess Pavilion, presenting live theatre and entertainment throughout the year.
From Falmouth railway station (5 mins from Highcliffe) there is a regular train to the Cathedral city of Truro, (13 miles away). The Eden Project, Helston, St Ives, Lands End, Heligan, the Lizard, St Michaels Mount and the beautiful Cornish north coast.
