Located conveniently on the main York-Edinburgh road, north of the York city centre. "The Heathers" offers a relaxing environment after visiting the many attractions of York.

Originally constructed in the 1930’s, the house is now a large detached home, situated mid-way between the A1237 ring-road north of York and the city centre, just over one mile to the City Walls and a mile from the ring-road. We offer private “off-street” car parking for all guests GUARANTEED. Plus a regular (every 10 minutes approx.) bus service into the City centre, if you do not want to take the car.

The Heathers offers totally "No Smoking" accommodation and we suggest a FREE guided walking tour to all our guests, to help you appreciate this historic city.

All our bedrooms are en-suite or have a private bathroom; and furnished to a high standard. We use designer fabrics and individually selected bed linen, chosen with an eye to detail, comfort and quality, to ensure a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Lying well back from the road, rooms at the front overlook Clifton Ings, whilst those at the back enjoy our large, peaceful garden - available for guests use on request.

All rooms have WiFi Internet access plus their own washing and shaving facilities, and a colour television.

Tea and coffee-making facilities are available in all rooms - experiment with new flavours using the range of tea, fruit and herbal blends that we supply.

For those on holiday - each room contains the "AA Guide to York" - the best guide we have been able to find. For our business visitors - our proximity to the business "parks" north of York is a major advantage.
