So you can be sure of a wonderful stay.
The Heath Close House has been stunningly designed by the current owner Alison Clayton and can boast to be one of the finest houses in East Devon with it's fabulous decor and unforgetable reception area. Our guest lounge is a comfortable, calm room where guests may relax, drink tea or coffee and peruse the selection of magazines. .
Alison Clayton extends a warm welcome to all of her guests, offering exceptional quality in terms of accommodation and food. Having only opened its doors to guests in the summer 2008, Heath Close has already attracted the attention of Bed and Breakfast guides and recently been awarded a five star rating by the AA.
Breakfast is served in the bright south facing dining room. If the weather is good, food may be served on the garden terrace looking out across the lawn to the mature flower borders. In the cooler months we light the open fire in the dining room to bring a warm and cosy glow! The South facing gardens are well established with a large terrace where guests may sit, read or be served a delicious Devon cream tea.

Environmental Statement
At Heath Close we try, as much as possible, to use locally grown ingredients. All our meat comes from local farms (all within a 10 mile radius): Darts Farm our eggs are also bought from local farms. . Our long term plans are to use our large green house to grow all our fresh produce. We re-cycle as much of our waste as we possible can and we try to encourage our guests to choose not to have clean sheets and towels every day to save on our energy output.
