Situated in and enviable position, down a quiet country lane and close to the dramatic Cornish Coast, Atlantic House is the perfect place to stay for a luxury, relaxing break away with a sea view.
Being the only 5 Star Guest House on The Lizard Peninsula, this is no ordinary bed and breakfast. Most rooms have sea views and all have elegant decor, heavenly beds with plump feather pillows, fridges, generous hospitality trays, fluffy white towels and bath robes. Come down in the morning to eat your delicious Cornish Breakfast in our dining room whilst looking out over to the Atlantic Ocean.
From the moment you arive to the day of departure, you will feel you have arrived at a haven of tranquility. Philip and Jayne welcome their guests as friends, their aim to provide all the comforts of home and more, in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. There are four double/twin rooms in this Edwardian house, all on the first floor and all decorated and furnished to the highest standard. Included are freeview TV, DVD, radio, extensive range of refreshments, wine glsses, cork screw, fresh fruit, fridge with fresh milk, hair dryer, bath robes, hand made toiletries, fresh flowers and hand made chocolates.
Atlantic House is set in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty and special scientific interest, just 10 minuets walk to the cliff top. The coast path will then take you to the famous Kynance Cove or the most Southerly Point with its lighthouse and cafes, this is a paradise for walkers and wildlife lovers. From spring through to autumn you can see beautiful wild flowers, basking sharks, choughs, pereguin flacons and much more.
Just 2-3 minuets walk in the other direction brings you back into The Lizard village, which has all the amenities to make your holiday complete, restaurant, pub, cafes, post office and gift shops.
Open all year, except of Christmas, you can enjoy beautiful sandy beaches or cliff top walks when ever you want to escape to the country
Environmental Statement
We have adopted an environmental policy for Atlantic House, our motto is reduce, re-use, recycle. We aim to use al local produce where possible cutting our food miles, our bacon and sausage are from the village butcher, eggs from the local farmer and fish from Porthleven. All our tea, coffee, hot chocolate are from fair trade producers. All our cleaning product are environmentally friendly and when we have to use plastic bags they are compostable. We have cards in all our rooms to reduce water by washing towels and bedlinen when requested rather than on a daily basis and all our electric light bulbs are low energy. We have also switched to a renewable energy electricity supplier.
