Whether you are planning your first trip to Cornwall or you are a regular visitor, The Windward offers all the comfort and hospitality you need to make your 'home from home' a great place to stay.

The Windward is situated on the craggy North Cornwall coast where the Atlantic waves crash in, with fabulous clean wide sandy beaches and a superb natural environment. Overlooking the beach at Porth, The Windward is ideally situated on the quiet outskirts of Newquay (1.5 miles from the town centre and 3.5 miles from Newquay Airport).

We are close to the stunning Surf beaches of Newquay such as Watergate Bay, Lusty Glaze and Fistral Beach, and the famous South West Coast Path is literally on our doorstep, just across the road from our front door. Porth Island on the eastern side of the beach is the site of an Iron Age settlement and is linked to the mainland by a footbridge. Beneath it there are caves which can be explored at low tide and is said were used by smugglers. On Trevelgue Head a pitch and putt course and a small crazy golf can offer a pleasant alternative to sun bathing. When the sea is rough the sight of spray shooting high into the air from the blow hole is spectacular. Endless golden sands that are washed by the Ocean twice in every twenty four hours; rock pools with tiny fish, anenomes and seaweed to delight the children; a crystal clear sea that invigorates the body and delights the eye and provides the best conditions in the British Isles for that wonderful and thrilling sport of Surfing. A calm relaxing base to explore Cornwall and its many sights and attractions.
