The slate quarries which formed part of Hornsleasow Rough - an area of land now designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and within the Snowshill Hill Estate - were mentioned in the Indenture for Snowshill Manor in 1638. Snowshill Hill Estate is within an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the accommodation offers the ideal base from where to cycle, walk or tour the Cotswolds and its many beautiful villages.
