Westgate Inn

Welcome to the Westgate Inn, Winchester. The Inn has operated since 1877 when the railways extended their network from London. At that time a trip to the West-Country could take more than two days and journeys needed to be broken along the way. Much enjoyed by both business travellers and tourists alike. The relaxed atmosphere of the bar and wonderful Indian cuisine in the Tiffin Club restaurant make the inn a popular spot. Many of the guests return again and again having enjoyed the warm welcome and comfortable rooms. A network of inns was developed along the route to accommodate travellers. Now the train takes merely an hour from London and Winchester is a hugely popular holiday centre with its beautiful architecture and historic sites. Conveniently located at the top of the High Street overlooking the medieval Westgate and a short walk from the railway station and Tower Street multi-storey car park. Access from the M3 and A34 is simple and the train station is a few minutes walk away.
