Keepers Cottage is a beautifully converted former gamekeeper’s cottage which offers peaceful, luxury accommodation for 4 people. Set in 15 acres of woodland and garden grounds, it offers views to the north of Kielder forest and to the west, Hadrian’s Wall.
Less than 2 miles from Hadrian’s Wall, Keepers Cottage provides an ideal base should you wish to explore the many places of interest in the region such as the Roman sites of Steel Rigg, Housesteads, Vindolanda and Carvoran, and the market town of Hexham. The cities of Carlisle and Newcastle upon Tyne are less than an hour away, as is the Gateshead Metro Centre. The Lake District, Kielder Water and Beamish Open Air Museum are within easy traveling distance. The newly created Alnwick Garden with it's famous treehouse provides a great day out.
Most of our visitors come to walk along some or all of Hadrian's Wall, which is just on our doorstep. The peace and tranquility of the setting of Keepers Cottage provides an ideal location in which to relax while on holiday in luxurious surroundings.

The accommodation includes ground floor bedroom with luxury 6 ft wide 4 poster bed and en-suite bathroom with roll top bath. The first floor bedroom also has a 6ft wide double bed (can also be arranged as a twin room), also with en-suite bathroom with Jacuzzi bath and separate shower. A cot and high chair can also be provided. The open plan kitchen/sitting room has a wood-burning stove within a stone fireplace. The television with digital freeview and DVD can be enjoyed from the luxury of leather sofas. All fuel, electricity, linen and logs for the fire are included in the price. There is a complimentary welcome pack which includes a bottle of wine, local magazines, flowers etc.
