Highdown Farm holiday cottages date back about 400 years. They have been renovated and tastefully decorated to a very high standard and are well furnished and equipped throughout. You will find the accommodation situated in a peaceful location, high above the Culm Valley, with breathtaking views of the countryside beyond - early risers will see some magnificent sunrises! It is an idyllic place to have a relaxing holiday away from the hustle and bustle of everyday living. There are two cottages and a romantic barn conversion to choose from to cater for all your needs, whether you are a family, group of friends or a couple. All are individually decorated and furnished to a high standard. Each cottage has its own secure garden. Linen and duvets (except for cot) and towels are included in the rental, as is electricity and heating. There is ample parking. Free Wireless Broadband. Play area with trampoline, swings and cimbing fort. Organic Veg boxes from Riverford Farm can be ordered for your stay, you can also Stock up on locally produced food from one of the farm shops in the area. We are open all year and short breaks are available. Babysitting service available. Guest are welcome to watch the milking. Children have the opportunity to ride Merlin our Shetland Pony. We also have some very friendly Pygmy goats and a few chickens which love being fed and lots of fuss and attention! There are some lovely walks around our farm and nearby. You will find cycle paths only a few miles away and we have covered storage if you wish to bring you own bikes. Please Note: When searching for accommodation, do not count babies in cots as children. Instead at the time of booking, please put a note in special requirements stating that you require cot/s & highchair/s. We are a no-smoking propery. Regrettably, we cannot accept pets.
