The Grange

The Grange is a large Victorian house nestling in two acres surrounded by beautiful Devon countryside designated an area of outstanding natural beauty, and backed by National Trust land. Spectacular sea views to the front of the house from an elevated position. We have 4 self catering apartments sleeping from one/two in our very popular studio apartment to six in the largest, 18 or more in total for house parties. Games Room. House parties welcome. We are graded 4* by Visit Britain and have been established for over forty years. Rockham Bay is within walking distance with short walks around the point to the left to Morte Point or right to Bull Point, the lighthouse and beyond towards Lee Bay. Walking in the area is second to none. The beach at Rockham itself is a small rocky bay, interspersed with sandy nooks with rock pools to explore during low tide. The village of Mortehoe is also within walking distance with its local shops; including a post office/newsagent, a general store, delicatessen, restaurants; one of which is renowned as one of the best fish restaurants in the South West, fish and chip shop, three public houses (two of these allow dogs inside) all serve food, a heritage centre and a medieval church. Woolacombe is also within walking distance. The beach at Woolacombe is a 2 ½ mile stretch of golden sand ideal for both families and surfing. Pets are allowed in one of our apartments.
