The Fox Inn was built over 250 years ago as the home of Charles Hall, then known as Broadclose. In the last 90 years the pub has become one of Dorset's most famous hostelries. Now under the control of Abi and Ian, The Fox has recently undergone a major refurbishment to inlcude some upgraded bedrooms, landscaped gardens and extended bar areas.
Warm, welcomoing and allways a refflection of the rich, rural life found in the heart of Dorset, The Fox is popular with residents, visitors and locals alike.
The main restaruant provides a traditional and relaxing atmosphere in which to dine. Chef/proprietor, Ian, and his team offer interesting and varied menus using the fiest of fresh local produce. For a more informal experience try the new light, airey garden restaurant ~ ideal for lunch.
in the summer there is a large patio area in the newly landscpaed gardens ~ a real sun trap.
There are 11 well appointed ensuite letting rooms, including 4 recently refurbished superior rooms designed to be both stylish and comfortable.
In addition to the wealth of nearby attractions: Monkey World, Abbottsbury Swannery, Athelhampton Gardens, Sherbourne Castle, The Tutankhamun Exhibition to name but a few, we are ideally situated to take in some of the most breath taking walks. We recommend the spectacular views from the Wessex Ridgeway, returning through the famous Dorset Gap.
Day trips to Jersey and Guernsey are also available from nearby Weymouth.
