Cloudlands

Cloudlands Guest Accommodation in Torquay, South Devon, is the original name of this delightful Victorian villa which was built in 1881 and still maintains many of its original features. It was originally the home of the Countess Marie Borel, from Honfleur, France, and her son Prince Baptiste St John Borel. They were recorded as being the "principals" of Cloudlands, which was at that time the South Devon Centre of the Order of the Temple.

Today Cloudlands offers visitors to Torquay the ambience of a private Victorian home, and yet at the same time all the amenities of a 4 star guest accommodation. We have ten comfortable ensuite bedrooms to suit most requirements, including sea facing and ground floor rooms. Breakfast and optional evening meals are served in our elegant dining room overlooking our landscaped garden with views across Torquay. The dining room and bar lounge and both conveniently situated on the ground floor.

Cloudlands is set in a peaceful conservation area within walking distance to the Riviera Conference Centre, Cockington Village, sea front, town centre, and Torquay railway station. With regular services to Paignton, Newton Abbot, Dawlish, Exeter, and further afield. Why not leave your car in our car park so you can relax and take in glorious Devon from the train.
